I just compared an 86 Westy front seat base with an 87 GL passenger van seat. The dimensions of the metal pan look the same but the size of the seat foam on the pan is larger, thicker and longer to the front by about 2 inches. Thus the fabric covering is also larger. AFAIK around 85 the GL front seats became larger in this way while the swiveling seat vans kept the smaller base due to needing to swivel.
