Finally an UPDATE on my Gowesty starter. The starter was bad and confirmed by Gowesty. I did purchase a new one for the $323 including shipping. Then sent the old starter to Gowesty with an RI # authorization. They promptly credited my account/credit card for the $323. Great customer service from them. Westy is now starting perfect. In a few weeks  we will be heading down to Virginia for a learning historical trip to Yorktown. Hopefully a few camp sites will still be open. Thanks again for all the help.
