Possibly for insulation inside walls and doors?  No specs on insulation
value but it's only 5mm thick.  Sort of looks like it might be self
adhesive.

One of these is very valuable for all those cooling hose clamps!  I
borrowed one once that looked pretty much identical to this and it made
working with the hose clamps very easy.  The only problem it had was that
the locking mechanism was worn out at the point of maximum squeeze so I
actually had to hold the handles to get the last bit of compression on the
