Marc is correct on the coverage (25%). I don't know the amount but suspect it depends on several factors such as location, metal type, metal thickness, shape, et cetera. One definitely doesn't need to do 100%. More work, weight, cost and less efficient fuel mpg. The next auto deck I sound proof will likely get the low places (depressions) with coverage and the opposite or high areas with none.
