Most online tire places offer road hazard plans. Get a copy of the manufacturer's warranty to understand what is covered as a defect. There are limits especially for commercial tires. Things like ride disturbance (belt shift or separation), are usually limited for a short time. Ozone cracking is usually 4 years.
Once you travel far from home unless dealing with a large retailer like Goodyear you will likely have to replace the tire then get the defect to a manufacturers rep or even send it somewhere. The road hazard plans help alot here.
Dennis,

Good thought! if I have an issue where do I go? Oh well.
I think I will have no issues at least I hope so.
