Thanks Dennis.

Tire rack reviews show favourable ratings of the General Tire Grabber in snow conditions. But re: heat comment. If this tire is used on a Westfalia in hot climates for extended periods, would this substantially increase chance of tire failure?

I'm hoping to travel south but need a snow rated tire for use back home here in BC Canada. Regardless, it sure looks like I'll be into 15" wheels soon.
