I've been in the habit of spraying a mix of water and peppermint oil on-around wheels, wheel arches, front grills to help keep rodents from trying to enter my '88 westy. That bus tends to sit for days at a time unused.

A fellow Vanagon-ite couple I know mentioned this idea. They'd gotten it from a fellow car buff. I may build one for van storage purposes. The idea as I heard it, was for a cement garage floor.

Build a 2x4 wood frame around the bus then erect an HVAC type metal wall on that around the bus. The idea being that mice can't climb the wall. I don't know what the minimum height would have to be or about gate details one would build into the wall. The floor in my garage is gravel/dirt so I'd think using paver stones as base might do.

Neil.
