Nice option.I recommend anyone going this option (a wheel with plastic caps) by a entire extra set of caps with the wheel purchase. 
They dont last on the wheels I had. Sean G

Follow the link to some pictures of the Ultra Wheel 402-6722+32S. This wheel is 16" X 7" with a 32mm offset which is perfect for both 2WD and 4WD Vanagon. The load rating is 1,800 pounds. These use cone shaped lugs and I recommend the smaller heads or spline lug nuts/bolts. For the 2WD the plastic hub cap needs to bored out to make room for the bearing cap. Bore out for the covers for the factory alloys as was done on this one.

There is also a 17" version of this wheel. It is the correct offset but 8" wide. I have not tested enough to recommend them with confidence.

For a little more money you can also look at the AR95T's I have recommended in the past. They are direct fit for both 2WD and 4WD and are rated for 2,200 pounds. They are also available in 16" with 30 MM offset and 17" with a 25  MM Offset. I have used both of these with no issues.
