Hey Ryan,
I have an 84 with a 2.3 liter gowesty in it installed in 2010. I have 40k
miles on the engine to date with no problems. At first the engine had a
lousy tune and old components and wasn't impressive. Bought it off an old
fella from cali that had the motor installed but left all the old
components. After I replaced the entire fuel injection system, ignition
system, exhuast and afm (last thing i need is the throttle body rebuilt and
its all new) plus had a proper tune done and I use ngkbp6et plugs and a
k&n air filter also for added performance. Now I'm cruising 75mph all day
long even on some pretty decent grades on the east coast. Next year I'm
taking her out west she is finally ready we'll see how that 100hp flat four
does on longer steeper grades . Thats my two cents on the gowesty motor.
