It's really good that you know how to do that, but you really need to =
set the camber first. Changing camber changes toe. The order is always =
caster, camber and finally toe.=20

Subject: Alignment in the desert
I was addressing leaks in the expansion tank rubber grommets on my 2wd =
84 tintop while camping in the southwest desert and I saw my left front =
tire is wearing poorly...the outside is wearing more... I've been =
aligning my own vehicles for some time, and I brought my 14mm Allen =
wrench with me.
So, I knew the camber was too much and my toe setting probably wasn't =
perfect, either...to determine toe in settings, I measured, tire to =
tire, across under the van, and as I suspected, I had about 3/8" of =
toe-in.... I dialed that back where I like it, to about 1/8"...
Then to the camber, which I simply eye-balled by rotating the =
eccentric
at the upper A arm. I do these changes carefully and little at a time,
especially since I can't be as accurate as I like without strings, =
levels and a good floor...
Ahh, camping! At least I get time and warmth to catch up with
deferred maintenance when I'm away from home...ha!
