Sears is just about gone. Certainly, it is on the ropes. For what little is left of the brand, I have no regrets, given that the past two decades it has proven to be a travesty of a retailer. It used to be THE source for lots of products, tools among them. Their appliances couldn't be beaten, you could check Consumer Reports and determine which model was simply a Kenmore branded one identical to a specific Whirlpool or Amanda. No more. Craftsman tools were high quality, and guaranteed forever. Now they are sold at Ace Hardware and are just run of the mill.

Sorry for the rant.
