Test-fit is good. You can verify the fit and learn exactly how the system works as well as checking the chains for faulty or worn links..You do not want to get all frozen and wet and find you ain't going further due to ?... I have some spare parts and some tie-wire that I keep in my chains....If you get somewhere like Siskious, or I-80 and need to go long miles with your chains on....even new unused chains will often need work before you get through...
