Thanks all. I recently sought help for my 84 Digifant inline's running problem that occurred while on the road south..(Tonapah, NV. blizzard, no run after a gas stop, hiccups crossing Death Valley, etc) I drove through some heavy and sustained precipitation and it turns out that expansion tanks, both sides, were collecting water through the top vent connections.. the rubber grommets were about gone. I replaced my temp II sensor (in that blizzard in Tonapah) thinking that maybe matched my symptoms, it started and ran ok, but stumbled badly a few times after short stops in DV... I'd also messed with the filter(s) and the fuel pump before departure, having had a few fueling episodes prior to departure... those were also following "deluge-driving" sessions, but I didn't pick up on the connection to water in my gas tank until someone here pointed out the expansion tank rubber grommets as a possible solution. New grommets and 3 bottles of fuel dry, she's going fine again.. Thanks
