Hi, I had a similiar situation this last summer. I have the Axle Nut tool that you can use a breaker bar on (http://www.gowesty.com/product-details.php?v=&id=23470). When I couldn't figure out which wheel bearing it was, I took out the Axle Nut tool, my breaker bar & checked which nut was looser. One was significantly looser than the other (determined by standing on the end of the breaker bar). After rough calculations on what 300 foot lbs should be on a 18" breaker bar, I tightened the loose wheel nut to very fine specifications (slight bounce on breaker bar! lol). It got me 1500 km home (with frequent stops to check the temperature of the hub). It should not have loosened, so I know there's something wrong in there and now that my van is parked in my garage for the winter, it's my high priority job :) Hope this helps. Cheers, Steve W.
