John, I can get this in steel from Johnsons or I may have a few myself if I can find them. You don't want stainless steel, it is not strong enough for this application. Even the hard, stock bolts break off. You should be able to get one at the dealer as it was used on all VWs with air conditioning for many years. Remember if you don't have it that there is a steel sleeve that takes up the difference in diameters between the bolt and the hole it passes through.
