They are kind of similar. It looks like they may have a fan on the rear of
the bulb and a heat sink. Also there is a box where electronics lives that
reminds me of the HID bulbs they we were experimenting with a little while
ago. I wanted to install these today and do the video but it is raining
here and my shop is tied up at the moment. Maybe if I can get the bus I am
working on out of the shop or have a decent weather day, I can install them
on a customer's van that is here right now and do the video. I have some
pictures from my friend that I supplied them to for testing purposes and he
loves them and they do give off more light and a nice white light that
doesn't look weird (HIDs I am thinking of you).
