Subject: Need help for forgetful Son -- leaving the lights on -- 84
              Vanagon 1.9L engine, automatic transmission
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed

My Son (18 last June) is now the main driver of my Vanagon. He woirks the graveyard shift at a local grocery store restorcking the shelves. When he gets home just after 7 a.m. in the morning, he turns the van off, sees that the headlights go off, and goes to bed. Of course, the parking lights are still on. Unlike more contemporary vehicles, there is no buzzer that goes off when the key is removed and the lights are still on. How do I rig up something that sounds a buzzer when the lights are on, but the engine is off?

Thank you,

John
