I've been running their starter for 3+ years on an I-4 (first with a Tiico, now an AVH 2L) without a problem. Easy install, low amp draw, and seems to work at anything above 11VDC. Pricey, yeah, but after several dead rebuilts in a near or so, seemed like a decent deal, and at the time, cheaper than an adapter and TDI starter (with no suitable core). YMMV

My Bosch starter is on borrowed time. It spins great until it hits a flat spot. Then it may not spin at all until hit with a hammer. Spare used Bosch starter may be no better. It's my understanding that gowesty made improvements to the latest edition starter they now sell. User input in gowesty starters would be appreciated. Since I'm on a road trip, am considering the gowesty reduction gear starter vs the mullendore adaptor/TDI starter since it *seems* the former will be an easier install while away from home. Much thanks, Neil.
