Thank you for all your suggestions.

First, my Son is very experienced at getting the battery charger and extension cord out of the garage and letting the battery charge while he sleeps. Second, I got him a AAA membership that is off of my AAA membership (the one with 200 mile towing); however, the morning he needed to call AAA, he had left his wallet at home. Third, battery is fairly new and the folks at the local Tires Plus have watched him grow up so he wouldn't have to spend much for a new battery. Fourth, the Go Westy solution looks low cost and easy enough for him to install
