I recently used a friend's 2003 Eurovan (Multivan). It has an auxiliary battery that runs a refrigerator box under the driver's side jump seat, and all interior lights. I thought the auxiliary battery was standard, since it had the cooler box. We left the cooler box on for our entire trip (7 days), and used the interior lights every night for a couple of hours, as the friend said would be fine, and we saw no decline in battery power. We did drive each day.

I must say, I did not like the Eurovan nearly as much as my Vanagon. The interior was more cramped, and to get headroom by raising the tent, one also has to lift and push the upper bed to the back, and it is quite heavy. With the Vanagon, the bed is back as stored, and is moved forward to deploy. Just a trivial difference to some, I suppose, but if the upper bed is not used for sleeping, the Vanagon way is more convenient.
