Lots of options here. First you have to consider how much you are willing to spend, and how much are you going to do yourself. I am in the parts gathering stage of my 2.0TDI BHW swap into my Whitestar. I'll be doing a full write up as I go with pictures. Head over to tdiclub forums, there are a few guys that have posted up their TDI conversions. Gearing is a big expense to do it properly. For me it's 700EUR for a ring and pinion (4.14) plus freight and my time to install. Add another $250 for 4th (or 5th) gear on there too likely. Easiest swap is to stick with the early style engine block and 50 degree mounting hardware (AAZ/AHU etc). I would avoid AAZ due to crank gear issues. AHU/50deg/M-TDI pump is your easiest route. Personally I'd go the extra effort and wire up the electronic controls. Jason
