I have a couple of light meters but I couldn't figure out a way of using them to compare the led and halogen. And really, in the end, it's the driver's sight that is the deciding thing. Even taking pics doesn't seem to convey what I perceive in real life. I'm keen to do a side by side comparisons with two vans. My friend with e code rectangular lamps and the best road legal bulbs wants to do a road test of the lighting. Having dinner with him this Saturday and maybe we can skip out to the vans and a quiet road before eating and get some pics.
