Isn't that the highway that traverses Rocky Mountain National Park above timberline? It usually opens in June, some years mid-July. So, if traveling that way, one best check on its status. One year my wife and I got there on the day it opened (early July), made the trip over the mountains, and found our campsite in the midst of a snow storm. The highway closed again that same day.
