Dan, The PS wil make some noise as you reach the limits of the steering range. But as PS STEERING FLUID drops the noise will become louder. Be sure the fluid level is up to the line, then do your test. Be sure you use automatic trasmision fluid and not regular power steering fluid. ATF is what the BENTLEY calls for. Shops have to be instructed about this orvthey will often make the mistake of using regular PS fluid. If the noise IN THE FRONTof the vehicle continues you are probably up for a new PS rack. If the noise is in the bsck, tou will need a new PS pump. There is a seal kit for the PS rack, if you are so inclined. The best bet for the pump is to gat a rebuilt pump from NAPA store. They have the best deal in my book. Good luck!
