Depending on what type of repair I needed to do. I've also used the rear window defroster, wire type, repair kits for short breaks or cracks in the strips.

Yes, I know of this fix. Great.
But it would be greater if I knew there is a tape that would conduct electricity and with that one could just bridge the gap.
I'll keep on searching.

I know this is an expensive option but it fixes the problem.

As I get older I have continuing less tolerance for electrical stuff not working and dash-warning lights and gauges not working especially drive me crazy. This kit solves the electrical gremlins and the white LED lights are awesome.

Subject: How to fix the foil
Hello all,
I wonder what’s the best way to fix the foil of the instruments.
I did once do careful soldering on it. But I think, there should be some more sophisticated way. Maybe gluing with some conductor glue. Or using a tape of some kind.
So, let me know if there is one, please. These foils are getting real old and brittle.
Best regards to the most valuable List.
