err...that's what i meant the cold start knob LOL... karl can you or anyone else shoot me a pic of that knob and its placement on the dash? ...and also did some canadian 1.9L waterboxers have this knob as well? thanks!!

There is no glow plug knob. The only 'knob' is a handle at the bottom of the dash to the right of the steering wheel for timing advance on cold starts. The glow plugs are on a timer relay, automatically activated depending on engine temperature.
