To him it's probably a nine. A VW camper is not for everyone. There are people out there who want a camper that lacks the quirks a VW has, good and bad. They'd rather have lots of horsepower "straight out of the box," parts that are on the shelf at any Autozone, and a commonplace American drivetrain that any grease monkey at the nearest Midas franchise or Sunoco station has worked on before. To them, those priorities trump the fit-and-finish, garagability, character, lack of depreciation, community, fuel economy, and various other advantages of a Volkswagen camper. (Big V8? Better have lots of gas money for that road trip!) Here in the U.S. we think of poptop campers as a VW thing, but in Europe poptops are found on many brands of vans, including European made Fords. This guy knew what he wanted and put some effort into making it. I'd welcome his Westfakia at a VW campout and would be curious to peek inside. Even though it's not for me.
