Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

hi all,

I realize that I didn't send the complete list... and here it is

****

REMOVING VANAGON DASH BOARD

Using this site as reference

http://www.benplace.com/dash.htm

and this YT video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZMrfW6o2KQ

*TIPS:*

- use small zip lock bags to put and label screws and bolts - this will help when putting back on..

- replace the 2 conical bolts under the steering column with allen bolts

- if needed label the wires with tape so you will know where to put them back on

*OPTIONAL PARTS YOU MAY NEED:*

- the blower motor box clips - http://www.van-cafe.com/page_848_1478/15-heater-core-box-clips

- heater fan resistor - http://www.van-cafe.com/page_1925_560/front-heater-fan-resistor-in-dash

- one or two ground trees - http://www.van-cafe.com/page_2358_140/aftermarket-ground-tree

- clutch pedal with all accessories - http://www.van-cafe.com/clutch-pedal-lever

- front heater core (if yours is leaking) - http://www.van-cafe.com/page_525_1478/front-heater-core

*REPLACING THE BLOWER MOTOR:*

- the blower motor box can be removed without removing the hoses of the heater core

- pull the heater core towards you and it will be detached from the blower motor box, leave it hanging on the side and remove the blower motor box

- put the the blower motor box on a bench and open it using a sharp knife - you will need the clips at re-assembling, do not glue it back

- follow the instructions at this video on YT - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZMrfW6o2KQ

*SUGGESTED EXTRA WORKS:*

- removing the metal bracket behind the radio

- lube wipers motor and arms

- install new windshield nozzles (2 holes style)

- replace the brake booster seal

- add one or two ground trees

- remove all existing ground trees, clean them and clean the ground connectors too

- if needed replace the clutch pedal too - you will need a helper.

- replace all the flaps on the blower motor box foam using this tape - http://www.homedepot.com/p/Armacell-2-in-x-30-ft-R-1-Foam-Insulation-Tape-TAP18230/100539553
