Subject: Resolution of propane woes
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

I replace my old rectangular regulator on my Westy propane system with a newer "round" model.

To catch you up, I have a failure of my propane system while traveling with my grandson to Washington DC. We had to divert to a hotel after the complete failure of our heat, fridge and stove during the blizzard. When I got back home I replaced the filler, but then I discovered a leak in the regulator.

I was able to cut and reflare the lines to fit on the car. Almost everything is new now and no leaks. The stock stone guard fit so closely that I had to the relieve the plate steel guard with a drilled hole to allow the plate to fit without interference from a test port plug at the bottom of the regulator. It all worked out and doesn't need a special extension for the filling nozzle.

Jim
