Hi Laura, We have very similar vans only mine is an 85 Automatic. If you don’t have one yet look at getting a Bently manual. this will be a big help in the future. Keep it in the van! It is amazing how quickly your knowledge of these vans will grow once you start loving the fun they bring to life. Eric Caron 85 GL Auto Westfalia

I would just hate to have to go in again soon, and replace the rest of the system... I will check for a power steering res. now love and kindness, Laura On Thu, Mar 30, 2017 at 10:41 AM, Eric Caron <ecaron1@comcast.net <mailto:ecaron1@comcast.net>> wrote: Hi Laura, Be sure to include your van year and model in messages. One way to check quick is to see if you have a PS resevore in the engine compartment in front of passenger rear light. Also steering wheel is bigger for non Ps. Others will have better tips. But, i dont know if i have power steering or not? I think so, but is there a sure way to tell? Sorry for the sillyness of the question, but i've looked online, and cant find a good answer. many thanks Laura |
