Hey volks, I need to do a quick and dirty repair to my PS window circuit. I have reason to believe there is an open at the usual spot (door hinge) and am not convinced I want a GW kit but need the window working for a driveabout next month. My plan for a temp fix is to simply cut the open out and replace with new wire using bullet connectors on either side. I don't yet have the door open so am wondering what the wire gauge is? These are the priority issues I need to resolve ASAP. Nice to know: 1. Does the GW harness just patch into the connection behind the glove box for the PS window or does it extend all the way to the PS switch? 2. Is it practical to remove the OEM door section of the circuit after the GW kit is installed? 3. Is it practical or preferable to R&R the PS door section of the OEM circuit?
