Felder industries comes through with simple and obvious solution, thanks :-)
Most of my banggood buys have been small electronic things, little control boards etc. They are being worked on as we speak in the top secret R&D labs of Bell International, for a vanagon application.
A recent purchase that I'm pretty happy with is a hand help multimeter. I have three multimeters; a bench top Phillips, a small inexpensive one kept in the van, and a regular sized hand held that was the main workhorse. But that one got bites off the island by the other two when it wouldn't agree even after battery change.
The new multimeter has all the features you expect, and a couple more I really like. Has a big LCD screen with a timed back light feature. Oh I really like that. Also has a sensor on one end that detects live AC circuits. Both with a beep and a led scale.
As you'd expect from an inexpensive meter the test leads are not the best. Easy enough to swap in some nicer ones ( ie more supple).
