Sorry folks

I have a 1985 Manual Transmission Vanagon. 2wd

Ken, thanks. do you think that is advantageous to replace the entire
steering rack and pinion thing? that way i have both sides, brand new tie
rods, boots and the new steering rack?

I would just hate to have to go in again soon, and replace the rest of the
system...

I will check for a power steering res. now
