You are better off getting a rebuilt one from VW. They are expensive, but the amount of labor that goes into removing and installing one of these, it is best to go with a rebuilt one with a warranty. Also if your engine has over 100k miles I would also plan on new timing chains and guides. It is another couple of hours and the parts with the transmission out. If you don't do it with the tranny out you will regret it.

Of course, besides the transmission, I can supply the rest of the stuff you are going to need.
