For those who have used one. as a child or as adult putting a child in it. it certainly does evoke memories. Glad some of that went out to the list. I also saw the Bus Depot listing and away went my thoughts of fixing something expensive on the Westy with sale proceeds. Although I am happy to see that lost ones can be replaced fairly cheaply.
Anyone on the list want an original for $100 plus shipping?? Canvas is in incredibly good shape, although a bit dusty. Stored in a climate controlled basement. You decide though, if it still holds the 100 lb. child. P-mail me if interested before I resort to Samba.

Ah, the memories! Sounds like you've found it. There are thick metal tabs bent over the ends that latch onto these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/292063314002?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true You can get the canvas now too: http://www.evwparts.com/vwparts/WestfaliaBusCots/AW102.html Send me a picture if you want verification.
I see these every once in a while on The Samba, and complete OEM sets are usually listed for around $200.
I used the cot in my '68 until my son outgrew it, but a friend who had a '71 and three kids had his same age son use it longer with his feet out the window. It was a different era . . .

Hi all;
I was just rummaging thru the basement and may have found the long lost front childs cot from my ol' 68 campmobile. I'm just not sure. It's appox. 56" long (black steel rod supports). Can anybody give me correct dimensions and maybe a pic of the ends that connect to the pillars. Any identifying marks would be helpful.
It's in surprisingly good shape. Samba search has yielded no real results.
Thanks
Dave B.
