Im an amateur wrencher but imo, some Harbour freight tools may stand a
chance of lasting for some time. eg my HF security fastener bit set or 1/2"
impact sockets. (Especially those sockets are only used only with a regular
ratchet wrench). But my HF 1/2" ratchet? Well, the ratchet
direction lever almost always slips into the wrong position while turning
the wrench. This is most inconvenient. My Jet 3/8" ratchet ive had for some
time has never failed. Not sure if that brand name is available elsewhere
but this tool was purchased in Canada. I bought it at a FLAPS. My guess is
that a typical FLAPS will carry decntent tools at a relatively reasonable
price.
Is Stanley a name folks trust these days?
Neil.
