I went all around canyonlands in a scout and there are many roads that while you may be able to transverse, will result in damage to your vehicle.

One in particular was "elephant walk" , it was one way because of a series 2 foot drop offs maybe 20 or so. You will brush solid rocks.

be carefull. Waterpocket fold would be much better for a backcountry adv.
