If both engines are tuned up and running correctly the difference is there. Not huge, but enough to help get over some of those hills! My Whitestar is running the stock 2.1 on 15" wheels and it cruises well between 120-130kph (GPS true speed). I can't say any of my 1.9's ever did that very well. On a side note, my 3H diesel 5 speed showed up on the weekend. 2.0TDI project is about to begin.....who wanted a 2,1? :) Jason Uberbus On Mon, Apr 24, 2017 at 8:37 PM, Eric Caron <ecaron1@comcast.net> wrote: > Hi folks, > > I’d be interested in hearing from those that have had both a 1.9 > and a 2.1 motor. > > A friend replaced his 1.9 last year with a rebuilt 2.1 and said it was > stronger but not anything to write home about.
