Hi all, After trying all winter to figure out why my van wouldn't start, I had it towed to a shop to be fixed. The starter is bad. The put a "new" starter in it, I presume a remanufactured Bosch, and started it a bunch of times. Then the tech went to lunch and came back and it wouldn't start again. I'd rather not get into other starter alternatives at this point, but I could use some advice on what might be happening now. Keep in mind that this all started with what appeared to be a problem with the neutral safety switch, which I replaced with a new one. I also had previously installed the starter relay kit from Jay Brown. I passed all this information on to them and they are going to do some more diagnosing tomorrow. Any ideas on what they should be looking for? I do have a spare ignition switch in the glove box of the van if that might be the culprit. Thanks! Marc Perdue, in VA |
