Back in the day I had a '68 Westy that I put a high top on, and it was very difficult to drive because of excessive roll. I installed Addco sway bars front and rear and the change was amazing, and made the van much safer.

The Vanagon could no doubt benefit as well (especially hightops), and Addco has 1" front and 7/8" rear bar kits for the Vanagon: http://www.addco.net/aftermarket/catalog/volkswagen/

Anyone who has upgraded their front anti-sway bar. Is it worth the cost and effort? How noticeable is the difference?
