Stuart Have done this both ways Many times ( actually in process of replacing a Bad H2OBxr with a G'W' H2Obxr @ this time ) & have come to this conclusion that if the Trany is all that needs to come out, due to Clutch Work or Bad Trany, it is best just to Drop the Trany > If the Eng' needs to come out it's best to Drop the Package mainly due to the Ease of ReMating the Two Before install as opposed to Wrestling with Trying to Somehow Support the Trany While Trying to Mate the Eng' to it ~ The Whole Package is a Bunch of Weight, Especially with AT (AT Much Heavier than MT) but is Quite Manageable with some Prior Planning ~ I have an Engine Hoist but choose not to use it as I like to have Complete Unobstructed Access to the Underside while doing the Drop ~ I made this Device to Lower & Raise the Eng' or Eng'+Trany ~ It's Slower than a Hoist but leaves Me Full Access DownUnder ~ https://goo.gl/photos/JK5BNCmuhVMiLB4g8 I place RearTires on Ramps that are on 2x12s which Raises the BackEnd High Enough to Roll the Eng' out from under ~ ORR ~ DeanB On 29 Apr , 2017, at 6:56 PM, Stuart MacMillan wrote: > I'm finally starting on my conversion project, and both need to come out. > Which is easier, both together or separately (automatic transmission)?
