There are some forklift manufacturers and companies using fuel cells instead of batteries. Pump it up with some hydrogen please! Keep in mind that these setups are basically a 1 12 volt power supply. You still need battery banks and inverters same as you do with Solar. However the battery capacity can be much less with 24 hour charging availability. > > Dennis > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Alistair Bell > Sent: Saturday, May 06, 2017 1:20 AM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Friday - fuel cell battery charging > > I was down at one of the docks today getting a tender support from from an expensive fancy boat ( Cabo something) and I stopped at the office where they had a display for fuel cell battery chargers > > http://www.efoy.com/ > > I had no idea this was a thing. Oh boy it looks good but lord knows the price of them. It's a big large, not super large mind you, for our vans, but I'm betting someone sometime will pop on in instead of solar. > > Alistair |
