Wow. if I had only posted earlier. I was only in NC a couple of days, and am back in MA (via NH) (love all those letters). Thanks for input into which doors fit and cost where you are. Any idea on shipping if I can't find one otherwise?

If you're still in NC you can pick this up on the way home, either the solo door for $50 in Norfolk (see #1) or a van being parted out in the same town (see #2).

Hi All;

While taking a trip down to Asheville, NC last week, a car sideswiped me at a toll booth in New York and took out my front passenger door. It got punched in on the mid to lower front and the window cranks, but will only go down about a third of the way. The door opens and closes, although closes a bit hard. There is also some damage to the front pillar, but does not appear serious. I haven't been to a body shop yet, but the insurance adjuster indicated I may need a door. So, here are my questions. What door fits an '87 Westy, any idea where I may find one (I live just north of Boston, MA), and about how much should one pay? I know that last one is a shot in the dark, but I have only bought whole Vanagons, not just doors and have no idea what I should expect. Any list knowledge would be helpful in this stressful situation. Thanks

Dave B.
