I did try with some reinforced rubber treadmill track stuff. Wanted scoop that would bend and deflect if I rubbed on debris. But took me too long to figure out folding and cutting of the material ... the plastic strip came a long and I was sold :-) So short newer is... I was too lazy Alistair
