Subject: Re: '84 Vanagon 1.9 engine oil pressure switch etc. Now have
voltage data on wire from oil pressure switch to instrument panel
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8; format=flowed; delsp=no
Thank you to all for your help.
Here are the new data starting with engine cold.
Ignition switch on 11.83 volts
Engine turned on 0.01 volts oil pressure light flashing
Engine warmed up at idle 12 volts oil pressure light is off
Engine warmed at about 1500 rpm and above, 0.01 volts oil pressure
light flashing
Does these data mean that the wrong or bad switch was installled?
Thank you,
John
