This was a tip I (we) got from Dennis Haynes.

With axle nut/flange removed and a thin needle on a grease gun, I pumped in grease at several different points between each roller bearing til I saw new grease come out.

Different colour grease obviously helps in this case. I did this b/c I was "in there" doing other work.

If the bearings et al are noisy, would new grease help that much?
