Hi , I have an air-cooled vanagon camper 1983 type IV engine. I am looking to buy a thermostatic sandwich adapter for my secondary oil cooler and found the Mocal Thermostatic Sandwich Adapter (Oil Thermostat), Type 4 Engines (-8AN Tight Clearance Fittings), MOC-SP1TM18 (https://vwparts.aircooled.net/Mocal-Thermostatic-Sandwich-Adapter-MOC-SP1TM18-8A-p/moc-sp1tm18-8an.htm) My problem is that it comes with a 90deg fitting so if I want my hose to be horizontal between the primary oil cooler and the exhaust , I need to get 90deg hose end for PTFE hose AN8 like these one: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fra-690908\
The fact that it come with a 90Deg fitting is strange to me , I have the EMPI sandwich version with no thermostat which looks similar to the MOC.The straight fitting seems to be the only solution.
Do you guy has any experience with it.
Thanks a lot
