Hi ,

I have an air-cooled vanagon camper 1983 type IV engine.

I am looking to buy a thermostatic sandwich adapter for my secondary oil
cooler and found the Mocal Thermostatic Sandwich Adapter (Oil
Thermostat), Type 4 Engines (-8AN Tight Clearance Fittings), MOC-SP1TM18

My problem is that it comes with a 90deg fitting so if I want my hose to
be horizontal between the primary oil cooler and the exhaust  , I need
to get  90deg hose end for PTFE hose AN8  like these one:

The fact that it come with a 90Deg fitting is strange to me , I have the
EMPI sandwich version with no thermostat which looks similar to the
MOC.The straight fitting seems to be the only solution.


Do you guy has any experience with it.
