I did this back in the day when we were getting new 2.1l AFMs for cheap. Seemed to work well. The only problem was the 2.1l air box was too big to fit in the location of the 1.9l Air box. So then I tried installing the 2.1l AFM onto the 1.9l Air box which works with some modification. The air intake boot also has to be retrofitted from the 2.1l so you can see how quickly the cost of this mod can rise if you were dealing with new parts. I did it as an experiment because at the time, we were getting brand new 2.1l AFMs from Europe for very cheap. As soon as I finished this experiment and it was successful, the company that was supplying the new 2.ll AFMs ran out and the cost of them went up to about the same cost of new 1.9l AFMs which made the entire project moot. Now, with both AFMs being discontinued new and harder and harder to get as rebuilt parts, maybe my research wasn't in vain...
