Pluses are much better fuel mileage - 50% better Possible to modify for enough power to merge onto a freeway going up the on ramp. Way cool pucka pucka pucka sound
Can't rev as high so needed to change the gearing - in my case the tallest Wheel/tire combo and regearing 3 and 4Not nearly as many people can work on them as can work on the gas motors so finding someone isn't always easy and is always more expensive.You wouldn't believe [I don't] how much money it's cost to do this but I did it about as stupidly [read money, time, and just plan mistakes] as possible.

hi all,

in the process of replacing my 2.1 WBX on my syncro tintop... I have some
choices... so some homework questions:

anyone has a 1.9 Tdi diesel engine on his/her van?

- how do you like it?
- what are the plus features/sides you like the most?
- what are the minus features/sides you like the least?
- approx. price? (engine + labor)
- extra things that you add on the engine? (oil cooler? performance chip?)
